Tri(octyl/decyl) methyl ammonium Chloride is a mixed quaternary ammonium compound. It has excellent surface activity and good solubility in organic solvents. Under appropriate storage conditions, it keeps stable chemical properties, making it suitable for a range of industrial applications. Its unique composition allows it to interact effectively with various substances, playing important roles in different fields.


>> Main Uses

As an efficient extractant, it is widely used in the hydrometallurgy and separation and purification processes of precious metals (such as gold, silver, platinum, palladium, etc.), and can be the core component of "Ajinomoto extraction solution". Through ion association, it enables the selective extraction of precious metal ions from the aqueous phase to the organic phase, improving the separation efficiency and recovery rate.

  • Phase Transfer Catalysis

It is used as a phase transfer agent (phase transfer catalyst) in the fields of fine chemicals, pharmaceutical chemicals, and organic synthesis, promoting the progress of heterogeneous reactions (such as reactions at the interface between the aqueous and organic phases), accelerating the rates of alkylation, nucleophilic substitution, oxidation-reduction, and other reactions, and enhancing the yield and purity of target products.
