APG-1214 (CAS: 110615-47-9)
APG-1214 is a nonionic, eco-friendly surfactant produced from renewable plant resources such as fatty alcohols and glucose, and is fully biodegradable, non-toxic, and non-irritating. It is usually supplied as a 50% aqueous solution and appears as a pale yellow viscous liquid or paste at room temperature, featuring low surface tension, mild yet strong detergency, rich foaming and good foam stability, excellent synergy with other surfactants, and good skin compatibility and softening effect. With an HLB value of 10–12, it has good thickening properties and is resistant to high temperature, high concentrations of strong acids, alkalis, and electrolytes, leaving no residue after washing, making it especially suitable for dishwashing detergents and hard surface cleaning. Based on these characteristics, APG1214 is widely used in personal care and home cleaning products such as shampoos, hand soaps, facial cleansers, body washes, laundry detergents, and dishwashing liquids, and is particularly well recognized in baby and maternal cosmetics.
>> Main Uses
APG-1214 is widely used as a mild, biodegradable nonionic surfactant in personal care products such as shampoos, body washes, facial cleansers, hand soaps, baby products, and oral care; in home care products including dishwashing liquids, laundry detergents, liquid soaps, and hard-surface cleaners; and in industrial applications such as agrochemical formulations, enhanced oil recovery, industrial cleaning, ore flotation, and corrosion inhibition, where it functions as a wetting agent, emulsifier, dispersant, foaming agent, and co-surfactant due to its excellent detergency, stable foaming, hard-water tolerance, and good compatibility with other surfactants.
