Dioctyl dimethyl ammonium chloride (DODAC), also known as dioctyldimethylammonium chloride, n-dioctyldimethylammonium chloride, and dioctyl dimethyl ammonium chloride (spaced form), is a cationic quaternary ammonium salt surfactant with CAS number 5538-94-3. It features strong bactericidal activity, good stability in acidic conditions, and high adsorption on negatively charged surfaces, widely used in disinfection, water treatment, and industrial cleaning fields.
