>> Product Introduce
Cocamidopropylamine Oxide (CAPO, also referred to as CAO; CAS No. 68155-09-9, EINECS No. 268-938-5) is an amphoteric surfactant derived from coconut oil fatty acids. It provides effective foam boosting and viscosity building and is widely used in personal care, household and industrial cleaning formulations. The product is compatible with anionic, cationic, non-ionic and amphoteric surfactants, so it can be readily incorporated into complex systems to improve overall formulation performance. It produces abundant, fine and stable foam, and shows a pronounced thickening effect when combined with anionic surfactants at appropriate ratios. It also mitigates the irritation potential of other surfactants and provides good conditioning and antistatic benefits.
>> Main Uses
Dishwashing liquids and industrial liquid detergents. Acts as a foam booster and foam stabilizer, improves compatibility with thickening agents and enhances overall formulation stability. In vehicle and floor cleaners it quickly removes dirt, grease and stains without damaging the cleaned surface, and lowers surface tension to improve flow and cleaning performance.
Personal care products such as shampoos, body washes and toothpastes. Effectively cleans skin and hair with low irritation potential and no drying effect; also builds viscosity and boosts foam for easier dosing and rinsing.
Hard-surface cleaners for tableware, bathrooms and exterior walls, where it contributes thickening, mildness and performance enhancement.
Multifunctional additive. Functions as a latex stabilizer in waterborne systems, improving the stability and flow of viscous formulations such as industrial and architectural coatings, while boosting foaming and viscosity.
